TRADITIONAL CUTS
DISTINCTIVE CUTS

CUT The cut of a diamond dictates its ability to refract incoming light and reflect it back from its top, creating its sparkle. The highest cut quality is termed "Ideal", succeeded by "Excellent", "Very Good", "Good", and "Fair". Often, fancy-shaped diamonds don't get a cut grade, and are marked as "None".

CARAT Carat refers to the actual weight of a diamond and is a unit of measure equal to 0.2 grams. In all diamonds, carat weight is a large contributor to the price of the stone.

COLOR The color of diamonds refers to their lack of hue, rated on a scale from D to Z. A "D" diamond is colorless, while a "Z" diamond is yellow.

CLARITY Diamonds may have inclusions or blemishes. The top clarity grade is VVS1, succeeded by VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, and IF. While there are other clarity grades available, we only stock diamonds of a quality we're confident in.
